Ultimate New Years Resolution to Stop Binge Eating and Compulsive Overeating

Everyone makes News Years resolutions to improve in specific areas of their lives, most give up within a month.

Here is a News Years resolution that could help you improve in every area of your life.

I will honor God in all that I think, say and do.

Now no one is perfect and God doesn’t expect us to be, but what if you strive to keep this resolution?

Let’s look at how it could affect just one area of your life, weight loss.

What does it mean to honor God when it comes to weight loss? It means eating in moderation, not binge eating or general overeating. Think about this, if you are not honoring God, you are rebelling against God. Whenever you binge or overeat you are rebelling against God.

The key to honoring God and stop rebelling is to keep God in the forefront of your thoughts.

How successful could you be if every time you thought of food, you thought of honoring God?

The Bible says our bodies are God’s temple and that God is present in us. It also says God’s temple is sacred and that no one gets away with vandalizing his temple (if you are obese can you say knee, back, feet and other health ailments?)

When you think about it, most Christians honor God with a prayer before a meal and then proceed to rebel against God by binging and overeating. Is that insane or what?

If you develop your ability to honor God every time you think of food you’ll eat better and eat less. You’ll lose weight and give yourself a chance at lasting weight loss.

There is also a really cool side benefit. Thoughts of honoring God will begin to happen at other times when you rebel and your life begins to change in ways that are indescribable!

Remember, God always loves you. He may not be happy with your behavior when you rebel, but he always loves you. Keep that in mind when you slip up and don’t give up.

Make this your New Years resolution and strive to keep it. It may be the last resolution you ever have to make.

Happy New Year and God bless!

Danny
