You need passionate patience to stop binge eating and general overeating.

I did a post last month on passionate patience, but because it is so critical to achieving lasting weight loss, I wanted to discuss it again.

In 2Peter 1:5 (The Message) Peter mentions one of the traits we need to complement our faith with is passionate patience.

How does passionate patience apply to losing weight and keeping it off? How can it help you to stop binge eating and general over eating?

The weight loss industry thrives on marketing its products based on the philosophy of “how much, how fast.” This thought has taken over the minds of people in general when they think of losing weight (even though most people realize quick weight loss is just dehydrating your body).

This whole thought process creates an anxious about losing weight. As soon as dramatic results slow or if they don’t materialize, people become upset and give up.

When you develop passionate patience, there is no anxiousness about you. Your focus is on your goal, not the bumps in the road you experience getting there .

Think about when you over eat at a meal or binge on a snack. Are you calm or are you in an anxious state where you are in a hurry to shove as much food into your body as fast as you can?

Study after study has shown greatness is achieved by those who practice passionate patience.

Begin to develop passionate patience in your life, you’ll not only see weight loss from a new perspective, you’ll enjoy life more.

God bless.

Danny
