Hi all,
You’ve heard the quote from the Bible, “Faith without works is dead.” In everyday language that means God expects us to not only ask for help but use the abilities he has given us. My Dad use to put it another way, “Pray to God but keep rowing for shore.”
The opposite statement is also true, “Works without faith is dead.”
People that cannot stop binging and over eating fall into one of two categories:
1) Those that pray but keep rowing in circles (no idea how to use their God given abilities).
2) Those who don’t pray and keep rowing in circles.
And we wonder why 95 – 99% of people don’t achieve lasting weight loss.
To have any chance at lasting weight loss one must understand temptation, how it affects them and learn how to use their God given abilities. When you combine this with prayer, your life can change in ways that are unimaginable.
